SNARE OF TRIAL

MARRIAGE

WOMEN'S FEAR FOR THE

FUTURE

Young people who believe that companionate marriage is the salu- tion to the riddle of the idea asso- ciation of the sexes are making earious error, says Mrs. C. Noville Rolfe, who, as secretary of the British Social Hygiene Council, has come in personal contact with a great many of these trial unions.

"It is my experience that pone of them lasts," she said to a press representative.

"About half of the young cou ples marry-I known of two who did so after a trial of four and six months but the other fifty per cent. part company, often with disastrous results to the woman. ›› "For a time all seems to go well, but in almost every case the same of events dccúra, One of sequence the two, generally the woman, find‹ that her emotional attitude to her partner is changing.
