Following the conclusion on Satur day of the Sixth Championship race for Ankor yachts Dr. Davis, who sailed Isobel, lodged a protest against Artemis, sailed by Mr. S. Berg.

Coming in third in the race, Isobel, on the starboard tack, con sidered that Artemis, which was on the port tack, and which hnish- ed second, should have given way to her. Wasp 11, with Major Griffin at the tiller, came in first.

Major 'Stewart sailed Speedwell to victory in the "Y" and “I” clasa race, leaving the rest of the fleet behind.

Mr. F. E. Skinner gained another victory when he sailed Zephyr home first in the Gael class ovent, with Sirius (Mr. Sporleder) second and Eunice (Capt, Rose) third

The annual tennis tournament between the Hong Kong and Kow loon Police was played at the Police TRIANGULAR TOURNAMENT Recreation Club yesterday, and re- sulted in the win, for the former by seven points to atx.

There was a large attendance at the Rugby match, on Saturday, between the Club and the Navy, including HE. the Governor, Sir Miles Lampson and Admiral Sir Howard Kelly. Naval supporters were disappointed as their side worn outplayed in all departments, the Club winning by a large mar 11-gin of 27 points (three goals and. four tries) to 3 points (a penalty. goal).

AFTERNOON RACE

Griths Opens Score,

Griffitha opened the score for the Club with a fine solo try, which Selby unaccountably failed to con- vert. The play continued in. the Navy half for the greater part of the game, and by half time three more tries had been scoured by Lammert, who was well supported by Griffiths. Selby converted two of these tries, so that the flub then led by 10 points to nil.

Shortly after the commencement of the second half, Ferguson.made A brilliant run and cut in zo beat Buckley and score a further try; Hall- which was not converted. Thompson endeavoured to add fur ther points from a penalty kick near the half-way line it was a good kick but the ball fell short. The club forwards were now play ing an excellent game, and Miller cut through passing to Munro who got over and touched down. This try was converted by Selby. The Navy then scored their only points in the game through a fine penalty goal scored by Buckley, whose kicks never seemed to miss. The Club's last try was scored by Peers, the hall having been brought up by the forwards MoElney and Hall Thompson.

Result: Club 3 goals, 4 tries (27 points); Navy 1 penalty goal (3 points).

The Club forwards played an excellent game, and were getting the ball out of the scrum quicker than of inte Fears was hooking. instead of MoElney after the first 10 minutes of the game-he man aged to get possession on most oc- casions, but the heeling was pope too clean. Munro was pushing better than usual, and his weight and strength helped the pack con- siderably.
