Borderera ought to be good enough to account for Athletic. True, they went down to Artillery Bournemouth Inst week, but it was a very hard game. Athletic don't look so good, Bristol The as they used to, but there is still a heap of good footballers left in the side. Their half backs have waver ed a bit recently before resolute at tackers, and this might be the de ciding factor. But it will be a keen tusile, with very short odds either,

TO-DAY'S GAME AT HAPPY
VALLEY
Today's match at Happy Valley between the Club and Army Rugby XV. may well decide the custody of the Triangular Tournament trophy for this season. The Army it present head the competition with two wins to their credit, while the Club have one win and a de- fent, the latter at the hands of the leaders. Should the Army repeat their success of a month ago, when they won by the narrow margin of one point, they will win the trophy for the first time since the war. On the other hand, a win for the Club to-day would give the civilian side at least a chance of drawing level with the Army at the top of the table, and would leave the re- 'sult open till the last Army . Navy
match a fortnight honco.

The prospects for to-day's match aro somewhat hard to assess. The Army have not played as a unit 10.01 sines their last match against the Club a month ago, and must there- fora be judged by the form display- ed on that occasion when they just managed to secure the verdict. The Club were showing considerably 10.16 improved form in their matches just before the holidays, but they suffer- 10.20 ed rather inglorious defeut at the hands of the Navy last Satur- day: Undoubtedly the team fielded on that occasion was definitely of the nature of a "scratch" XV., Reveral newcomers being brought in and three forwards being played in the back division, still the showing 10.38 was not one to encourage confidence in Club supporters.
