The Christmas Match,
The most interesting fixture of the future, HKCC. v. Amay,
to-morrow starts
ob the Club ground and will, I understand, be continued on the Monday and Tuesday. The Club have out the same side as last Saturday save that LT. Ride replaces Alan Reid, whose duties in the Bank keep him out of year-end cricket I believe The change will strengthen the batting a bit as Ride does much batter for the Club than for the University. But it leaves them dangerously short of bowlers. Of cource Beck and Ricketts may be good enough to run through the Army, but beyond these the Club have only Duckitt and Owen Hughes unless TA. Farre turns out to be a bowler. He bowled a bit in England, I believe, and it should be in the family, as T. E. Pearce first played Interport Cricket as a bowler."
The Army Side.
The calls of so many games have rather upset the Army side, and unless something surprising occur they are not likely to win. So far as I can gather, though this is not official, they will be repre- sented by Mirehouse (capt), Mus- son, A. C. Hamilton, Anstruther. Garthwaite, Young, Stocker, Trout, Cragge, Calledge, and A; N. Other It is most unfortunate that Tucker, afa bowler, is on the injured list, while Whiteaway Wilkinson cannot get away to play. On paper of course the Club should win but its a queer game Garthwaite hee yet to come off as a bowler, but be has not yet really had a proper try out on a grase wicket. He is a most useful bat. Mirehouse might possibly get a wicket to help him, in which case the Club would have to look out. I trust he will put himself in reasonably high up, as at times he also in a most useful bat. I hope to publish a full ac count of the play up to Monday evening in Tuesday's issue, as the Prem does not appear on Monday, Tuesday's play will of course ap- pear on Wednesday.

I hope to deal with the Navy

I have managed to get off to see it all on Wednesday and Thurs day next. As for to-morrow's other games, the Civil Service have friendly with the University, while C.O.O go to Bookunpoo to play a friendly against the In- dians. E.G.C. and the Navy, both have a blank, day
