NOTICE OF AN EXTRAORDIN TOTICE is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of THE ROYAL HONGKONG GOLF TOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN | OLUB, will be held in the Board Room that an Extraordinary General of Messrs. Jardine, Matheson & Co., Meeting of the Royal Hong Kong Lul, Hong Kong, on Thursday, toth Golf Club will be held at Messrs. December, 1932, at 5.30 p.m. Jardine, Matheson & Co., Ltd.'s Board Room on Thursday, the 15th day of December, 1932, immediately after the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting of the Club at 5.30 p.m. when the subjoined Resolution will be proporod na nn Extraordinary Resolution.

INCREASED DUTY ON JAPANESE GOODS URGED
NANKINO, Nov. 20 Replying to a petition from the Shanghai City Chamber of Com- merce regarding the increase of the import duty on Japanese cotton piece goods when the Sino-Japanery Tariff Agreement is to he revised next year, the Ministry of Finance states that suggestions should be referred to the National Tariff Commission which is studying the question.
· The Chamber's. petition urged that upon the expiration of the Sino. Japanese Tariff Agreement next May, an increase of the Customa
