MOVIE CRAZY”

HAROLD LLOYD AT

HIS BEST

"T

Our representative attended yes terday at a private show at the King's Theatre of Movie Crazy which is an extraordinarily amusing play. Harold Lloyd comes up from the country to try and star at films. Incidentally in reply to a letter from Hollywood, he enclosos a wrong photograph. He strolls into many studios where he inspects everybody and invariably gets removed,

Finally he has a fight to death with a man, which is duly simt hy the cameras, the director having been knocked by falling debris, and in conclusion he is given n contract for his impromptu acting. "Movie Crazy" is well put on, the acting is good, and Harold Lloyd's facial expressions are as good as ever. Miss Constance Cummings acts well with him.

We strongly recommend this pic- ture which starts at the King's to- day..

THE BIG ADVENTURE'

British and American taxpayers are in much the same position.

Before the Hoover Moratorium. all reparation and war debts re ceipts of the United Kingdom went to cover current payments due to the United States, and the British taxpayer had each year to find from his £80,000,000 for interest on internal loans, out of which advances of £1,000,000,000 were made by Britain to the Allies. The interests of the two countries, looked at from this standpoint, are the same.

Regarding the changes of cir cumstances which have increased the burden of Britain's obligations, it is pointed out:

Thirdly, the American tariff has restricted the import of. British manufactured goods. Whon British war debt was funded in 1932, these amounted to £60,000,000. This year's figure is £15,000,000.
