ST. LEGER PROSPECTS DISCUSSED
CHAMPION JOCKEY MAY WIN ALL THREE EVENTS: LIBERTY BAY AND RACING BOY MUST WIN-
AUSTRALIANS RACE VERY OPEN: THE GIRAFFE AND POLAR STÅR FANCIED
[BY MORNING DEW."]
Three classies of the Autumn racing season are due to be de- pided to-day and there is sure to be a very large turnout to see the Thirteenth Extra Roce. Meeting of the Jockey Club.
Entries are very limited in all the three classic events on the card. The Griffin's event seems to be a certainty for Liberty Bay, while Racing Boy should have little difficulty in annexing the hon- ours in the subscription griffins clara.
The Australian St. Leger is the tit-bit of the day's sport. There are seven entries and of those Polar Star is outstanding on paper since the pony has won the Australian Derby and Champions this AARON. However, Pular Star has not race at all during the second half of the present' season And for this reason, he does not ap pl as a likely winner.
Mr. Front, who will be riding Racing Boy and Liberty Bay, will be taking out The Giraffe in the Fremantle St. Leger and it certainly looks very much ns though the Champion jockey is go- ing to win all the three classics this afternoon, as The Giraffe has the best record after Polar Star. Another candidate vory mich fancied in certain quarters in Friar Tuck, hat the pony his not done anything during the second half of the year and might turn out to be a disappointment. Friar Tack however is n stayer, and the long distance is all in his favour.
GOOD ENTRIES IN
The entrics for the handicaps which forms the remainder of the programme, are quite heavy and some very fine racing ought to be seen. Upsets are more than likely and I should be surprised if some big dividends are not paid over the counter this afternoon.

For the subscription griffins St. Leger, Racing Boy, A stated earlier, is almost a moral "cort" and unless some unforeseen acci- dent takes place, he is not likely to be beaten. Bistre, Chiu Quan and Cy-pres are likely to fight out the two remaining places and I prefer 11.08 the chances of Bistre and Chiu Quan to those of Cy-pres.
