LEAGUE..
F.S.W. SMITH'S GREAT EFFORT
HAMILTON SCORES 84 FOR ARMY
The only Lengne match to take place on Saturday was',the Junior League game between the Indian R.C. and the Kowloon C.C. The Indians, who suffered defeat at the hands of the Police last week displayed better form on Saturday and won by 00 runs.
Smith, captain' of the K.C.C., made a splendid effort to pull the pame round for his side by making almost half the runs and cap- turing 4 cheap wickets, but received no nasistance from his team-
mates.

LEAGUE I.
INDIANS . K.C.C.
The Kowloon CC. failed badly against the strong Indian R.C, at Sookupno on Saturday. F. 9. Smith virtually carried his side in oking 40 runs out of a total of 08 and taking 4 wickets for 42 runs. No other player on the K.C.C. de reached double figures against the bowling of Rumjahu, Abbas, and F. M. el Arculli who shared wickets.
The Indians batted first and com- piled 188, thanks to a vigorous innings of 50 by F. M. e) Arculi, who together with A. S. Suffiad who contributed 35, brought the secre from eight runs for three wickets' to before they were separated. Areulli continued to hit out to good effect and was eventually dismissed for 50.
Despite Smith's great effort for the visitors, the K.C.C. were all out for 90 runs, 25 of which were "extras."

A trial game was played on the Hong Kong Cricket Club ground between Mr. E. J. R. Mitchell's XI and Mr. A. W. Hayward's 'XI, the former winning by nine wickets. Mr. Hayward's XI batted first and could only put up 07 runs, Beck doing most of the damages with five wickets for 34. Mr. Mitchell's XI had no difficulty in hitting off the required runs for victory, their final, score being 940 runs for right wick- ets. A. Mackenzio (62 retired), L. D. Kilbee (51 retired), E. R. Duckit (33 retired) being the prin- cipal contributors.

In a low-scoring game at King's Park, the Club de Recreio defeated the Civil Service CC. 2nd XI by two wickets. The visitors batlod first and could only manage to make. 59, 1. M. N. da Silva was in great form with the ball, taking fiva wickets for 19 runs. The Recreio Club also found run-getting difficult [when they went in, to bat and won with only twa wickets in hand.
