ECHOES OF OTTAWA CONFERENCE; THE TAX ON

'FOREIGN CARS

Echoes of the Ottawa Conference were heard at the Legislative Council Meeting yesterday, when several matters, which were the direct result of the Conference, were dealt with,

Several new Bills passed their first reading, including the much- discussed "Divorce Bill."

Among the new Bills introduced was one "to secure an increas ed trade between the Colony and other parts of the British Em- pire."
