Further progress was made in the V.B.C.awimming championships yesterday when three open events wero decided.

In the 100 yards breaststroke, Kwok Chun Hatig (S.C.A.A.) who broke the bath record in the heats

There is a programme of ten events for the aquatic meeting to be held at the European Y.M.C.A. to-night between the "Y" and 'a, team from Canton.

Thrills and excitement were pro- vided by the three competitors, L. and Roza-Pereira, W. Lawrence S. V. Gittins, in the 220 yards championship. From the begin- ning till almoss the end, all of them were together, with Cittins holding a slight advantage. In the final spurt however, Roza Pereira, who is well-known for his stamina, began a spurt and eventually won by a yard. Lawrence was second and Gittins third.

S.H. Garrod (Y.M.C.A.) was the easy winner in the Long Plung Championship, his distance being 01 feet 9 inches, J. R. Soares who was second plunged 58 feet 8 inches.
