An interesting evening hus, been arranged for Thuraday, the 22nd inst, when at 9 p.m. Dean Swann will give a lecture in the Church Hall on his experiences in Pales. tine, The lecture will be accom- panied by the screening of photo- graphs, the slides to be shown being taken from a number collected by the Dean during his sojourn in Palestine some years ago.
This lecture has been arranged under the auspices of St. Andrew's Club, now a very flourishing con- cern. The club, always to the fore, has arranged bathing picnics and other entertainments through- out the summer, and these are to be continued during the present month. With the arrival of the cooler weather at the end of Sep- tember other diversions will bo httempted. Interesting forthcoming events on the programme of the club is a dramatic evening to be | arranged shortly, and the usual club dances which are always an enter tainment. The secretary of the club is Mr. R. H. Wong.

St. Andrew's Church is rightly proud of its scouts. Judging from reports this troop soema to be, one of the most go-ahead in the Colony, and it is fitting therefore that they should be 1st Kowloon Troop. A * Camera. Competition ", held res cently resulted in Scouts Geoffery Arnold and Henderson being award- od the first prizes in the Senior and Junior sections, respectively. The following scouts were tested for swimming during August and aro Dow in possession of their Swimmers Badges:-2nd Patrol Leader J. Winyard, Scouts J. Hen- dersco, S. Lee and G. Arnold.
