Mails can now be forwarded to Europe via Siberia.

Information has been received from the Japanese Post Office that the Siberian maila held up by floods in Manchuria bave now been diverted · from the Chinese Eastern Railway and forwarded by the Northern Route to Vladivostock, They will arrive in Kobe on the 26th and should resch Hong Kong about September and. The homeward mail is forwarded by the Northern route from Vladivostock but no such interruption has occur-

·ed. This route however gives a weekly instead of the normal bi-weekly service and the time of transit is several days longer.

The next mail or Europo v.4 Siberia will be sont by the s.s. Empress of Japan on the 28th. This mail will proceed via Kobe, Tsuruga" and Vladivostock.

SAIGON-MARSEILLES AIR MAIL SERVICES..

Letters will be accepted for transmission by the above-mentioned Air Mail Service to the destinations spocitled. Registered letters may be sent by this service bat not insured letters.

The rates charged will be the regular postage rate plus the special air mail premium as indicated in the following table:---
