F. R. BROWN MAKES CENTURY AGAINST KENT: YORKSHIRE NOW TOP CHAMPIONSHIP TABLE.

London, July 12. Quito a sensation was caused by Verity, the young Yorkshire bowler who took 10 wickets for 10 runs against Notts. This is the second time that Verity has taken all ten wickets in one innings, the first instance being in 1931 when he captured 10 wickets for 36 runs against Warwickshire. Incidentally, Verity performed both these feats at Leeds
Yorkshire won by ten wickets and their success, coupled with the fact that Surrey took first innings points from Kent, has placed Yorkshire aghin at the top of the championship table.
F. R. Brown, one of the most promising young amateure, made
a brilliant century against the hop county when playing för Surrey.
