The modern tendency of allowing the individual self to be over- shadowed by a feeling of helplessness, and the danger attached to such a tendency was dealt with at some length by the Bav. Dr. E. L. Allen, B.A., in an address given by him yesterday at the Rotary Club entitled "The Cult of the Strong Man."
The speaker inid that very seldom had there boen a generation so rich as our own in forceful energetic personalities. We should · think of these personalities, not as half-gods, but so men like pur selves who had proved to us that the individual was still the centre of power.
