COMMANDAN REVIEW OF CORPS' ACTIVITIES.

GENERAL IMPROVEMENT IN EFFICIENCY IN ALL UNITS.

"The Beef Steak and Kidney Pudding "Dinner," probably, the outstanding and undoubtedly the most enjoyable social event of the year in volunteering circles, was hold last night in the Drill "Room, Volunters Headquarters. The dinner was & prelude to the annual presentation of prizes of cups and other awards to mem bers and units of the Corps..

In presenting the prizes, HE, the General Officer Command ing, Major-General J. W. Sandilands, C.B., C.M.G., D,S,0, con- gratulated the prize-winners and paid a tribute to the Corps as Ca whole, mentioning particularly the three new units the &. 8. C. Cadro, the Anti-Aircraft Light Automatic Company and the Anzac Company.

The Commandant of the Corps, Lieut. Colonel L. G. Bird D.S.O., O.BE, to reviewing the year's activities, mentioned that there had been a general improvement in keenness and efficiency.

The Engineering Company have had a very succesful year, having won the Efficiency and Musketry Cups, and a number of prizes at the Rifle Meeting.
