TO-MORROW'S RACES AT FANLING.
"
INTERESTING RACE FOR UNSUCCESSFUL CRIFFINS.
SOME SELECTIONS FOR THE PUNTER.
[BY MORNING DEW.")
The second Extra Race Meeting of the Macao Jockey Club, which was originally dxgd for April 3 and which was postponed for a fortnight, owing to, the outbreak of meningitis. in Macao, will be held th-morrow at the Kwati Race Course, by courtesy of the officials of the Pan- ling Hunt and Race Club..
The usual rage train will be avail able to racegoers and there is pro
ise of a good day's sport, i the weather holds ne
Of the soven races on the card, the most interesting, undoubtedly, is the last race where, there are twenty entries. The race is over a mile for non-winning "grifos of this season and there is little doubt that. Doveron will, start a hot favourite here and should just about manage to win as he had been very close or several becagions; If Mr. lp Kai Ying rides him, he will make no mistake, with this face. Of the others. Punch. us won since the publication of the entries and is therefore ineligible, and therefore'; there should be little opposition to! Deverdi, unless Gold Ring or Alex-i Andra Half can put up very much! better performances than, they had heen able to put up in the pitsELAT
First Race.
The programme opens with a six furlongs race for subs of my club of any senson that have "not won arned this year: Sunbenug Valley Hall and Tango all appeal to me and it should not surprise me 10. see them finish in that order...
פין
Several of the polies entered for' the second race, over a mile, are ineligible to race because of having Won since they have entered. Coronation Eve. Champagne Bayj and Tom appear to be "the pick of the entries and if they are sent to the past, should do quite well,
The Easter Stakes over a mile and aquarter oughs La présentée difficulty to Princess Hall. Punch, after his recent victory over De veron might go out here to try conehusions with Princess Hall and) in the long straight at Kwanti, his changes look good. He ought to get very near. Wembley Stag also appears to
have a good chance here.
"D" Class Ponies.
The fourth race, over a mile, is for DC86 ponies and Margo subs, and this is a very open affair with the chances slightly in favour -af Gold Bar with only 167 pounds to look after. Fighting Blond and Pathfinder ought to be able to get the remaining places.
ון,
The Afth ruce is for Australians but there are outy Herp entries here and there seems to be nothing to touch Anniversary Ere, as thes distance, sia urlongs, suits him and ho is the only pony to have done anything in the past. Miss Jammy and Gold Digger might get the other places.
There appears to be a good op- portunity for New King to win in the sixth race on the card as he has only 149 pounds to look after Kanpaz and Pure Music are other good things here. The Geld is sure to be fairly bie and it will not sur prise me in the least to see a big dividend paid out.
The that race,, us atated provious- Ty, is the bont on the card and Deveron's chances there are ex- tremely rosy.

GALLACHER AND LAW GOING TO FRANCE.
TAROČI RYUTENÉR AGENCY.)
LONDON April 15. It is officially announced from Nimes, France, that Hugh. Gal lacher, Chelsea's Scottish inter- national centre-forward and T, Law, their left-back, have been engaged by the Nimes Sporting Club
The players. havo arranged to arrive in Nimes on May 4 or, 5, and will start playing next season.
It is reported that the ponies in the Jockey Club stabies made arter- xible din with their neighing at the hour when the foul arrived and the more superstitious of the Chinese stable boys attached 山 sinister meaning to the sudden neighing of the animals, thinking that some evil spirit was in the stable. The braver alement, however, set out to invosti- gate and the "Hong Kong bara China pony was discovered.
The pony will present an anigina.. to the officials of the Jockey Club: and it will be interesting to sco whether it can be raodd focally, or not in years to come.
The only previous record of a pony foaling in Hong Kong is that of a pony belonging to Mr. Hall Brutton, but in that case it was not a China pony.
