CUP FINALISTS MEET IN LEAGUE MATCH WIN
FOR THE ARSENAL.
SENIOR DIVISION LEADERS EASILY DEFEAT
THEIR ROPPONENTS.
A fenture of the English League football matches on Saturday was the appearance of this season's Cup final teams, Arsonal and Newcastle United, in a Leaguo dxture. Arsenal rotained the points by scoring the only goal of the match. Everton, League leaders, and West Bromwich Albion, their close rivals, both an nexed the points with comfortable victories.
Leeds United, in the Second Division, were defeated, and the Wolves tick advantage of this and their single goal win to en kanco their chaness of promotion. The lowly-placed Thames, in the Southern Section, did well in taking the points from Norwich, who are more than half way up the League table.
