RESOLUTION PASSED YESTERDAY BY ROYAL HONG KONG GOLF CLUB,
DISCRIMINATION MOTION DEFEATED.
That it was not login that something should be given for no- thing and thos in future ladies using the courses and premises of the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club will be charged a foo, was tho gist of aerosolution passed at an extraordinary geuoral meeting of the Club held in the Board Boom of Messrs. Mr. G. 8. Dodwel! said. At the annual meeting last Decemj. ber, the Chairman briefly referred to the matter of Ladies Subscrip- tions and a vote was taken at that mealing, which unaúimously up- proved of the auggostion that the New Committee should go closely. into faste and details and draw up, a schons or proposition with a view
bringing it into affees.
Under the Anticles of Association and powers vested in the General Committee it would undoubtedly appear that the proposed measure could be adopted without reference to the marabera, but seeing as aperific, noties of this proposal was not given prior to that meeting, and as the Committee do not con. template any netion in opposition to the wishes of the majority of the mombers, it was decided to onll this extraordinary general meeting...

Analysis of present day mem. bership shows that cut of jun 1,000 members and sub- scribers now present, 422 have registered lady_relatives to a total of 447. Thus you will see that some 575 members and subscribers, or well over half, are paying for the ladies related or unattached.
3. The membership bas reached, if

not do so when at the time we have a considerable num ber of lady members naing the Clubs and Courses entire ly free.
