Inasmuch as the membership of the Junior section evidently includes galfors who are either incon- siderate or thoughtless enough to jeopardise this very useful privi- loge, the Golf Club has acted wisely, although the restricted Courss is by ne means as interesting. This pro vides yet another instance for the many having to suffer for the sins of the few: If every instance of abuse was reported and brought home to the offenders, it might be possible in time to weed them out

The single club competition ad Kowloon Golf Club on Saturday proved most entertaining, and con- sidering that the contours of the course are by no means suitable for a competition of this nature, the winning scores word very good. Needless to say, many cards were not returned and many records in regard to highest scores for in dividual holes and for the course are understood to have been broken 1 The most popular Club was the | mid-iron and No. 3 iron, although the Hon. Secretary of the Club caused considerable amusement by deavouring to play round with a apoom with which he took 13 at the 1st, after getting into the stream... Special handicap were instituted for this event which was won by J. D. Thomson (81 natt), with W. J. Woolley runner-up.
The Fear Cup competition a Kowloon City on Sunday attracted A large entry and most playare completed the 38 holes. The winner was. A. MacNider (183-34) with G. P. Murphy runner-up (174-22). MacNider also won the morning round bogov pool and Braley the afternoon round.
The semi-Anal of the "Junior Championship is due to be played at Fanling on or before Sunday next and at Kowloon Golf Club the second round of the Captain's Cup competition will be played..

On the Hong Kong Football Club ground last evening, the Club “A” fifteen engaged a team from HM. Submarines in a friendly match
which ended in a draw, cach side getting three points.
The game was very tame and scrappy and it must be mentioned that while the sailors played well- together the Club toam were not combining wall at all. Their three points came from an unconverted goal hile the flubensrimes got their points as the rosult of a penalty kick awarded them,
