Conference might be open to discussion during the final plenary session, which began to day, Lord Sankey and the Prime Minister began the proceedings by formally proposing the addp. tion of the reports of commitices o Federal Structure and minorities. Fifty, delegates have notified they wish to speak. The session will last until Tuesday, when the Premier will make a statement of Govorament policy: Delegates adjourned this even: ∙ing but will resume again to-night.
Lord Sankey emphasised the solid nature of the work of the Federal Structure Committee for a new, ladian constitution and expressed the bellef, that Mr. Ramsay MacDonald would be remembered as the architect of the Federal Constitution of India. The Committee had endorsed the report but he called attention to the fact that Musiem members add some of the other minarity representatįves had reserved their opinion on subjects of defence, "external_polations, "inancial safeguards and commercial discrimina. tion until "a satisfactory, solution was found of the minority problems.
The Premier expressed his very definite conviction that, the minorities problem could yet be solved if Indian representatives exercising their well-known pride would face the facts and use || goodwill. This oplalon was endorked by many Indians, in the general discussion which followed.
