THE VICAR'S TRIBUTE.

A& Evensong the Vicar in the course of his sermon, which was mainly devoted to the history of the work of the church, paid a warm tribute to those who have in recent years faithfully stood by the church and helped to carry on the work. Appeats never seemed to Tall on arren ground. There was always a hand of devoted and loyal workers, whose hearts God had touched to give themselves and their abilities to His service.

We have received a noble heritage while thanking God for it, let us spare no effort in handing it on enriched and enobled by our self-sacrificing service to those who shall come aftor.

Pioneer Days,

The Rev, A. J. Stevens remained as Vicar until January 10, 1909 through trying days of pioneering.
