WESSON SERMON:

RST CHURCH OF CHRIST.

› SCIENTIST, HONG KONG H

1,11

Soul and Body was the sub- feet of the Lesson Sermon in mal Churches of Christ, Scientia, on Sunday, November 22.

The Golden Tox was- Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my god, thou art very great; thou ́ars alothed with honour and majeny," (Psalm 104; 1)

Among the citations which com prised the Lesson-Norman was the following from the Bible. For wo know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we bave a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens. For we that are in this tabernacle do grean, being burdened, not for that we would be upclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. We are confident, 1 say, and willing rather to be. 45- sent from the body, and to be pre- Bent with the Lord." (2 Cor.

·5;1,4,8.)

The Lesson-Scrmon also includ- ed the following passage from the Christian Science textbock, "Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy-Rightly understood, in- stend of possessing a sentient ma terial form, man has a sensation- less body; and "God, the Soul of man and of all existence, being perpetual in His own individual ity, harmony, and immortality, im- parts and perpetuates these qualì- į ties in man-through Mind, not matter. (P. 280.)
