To Trim the Outicle.

In most manicure sets is included cutiele knife for trimming away nny skin which has encrouched upon the nail. This should be now gently passed round the base and aides of the nail, but never excepting perhaps in the case of the forma tion of a hangnail-touch the cuticle with the scissors.

Even when the nail tips aro per fectly clean and free from stains they are often quite colourless. A very little nail whitener should be applied with the end of the orange stick. Too much will be lumpy and uneven Now smooth it carefully under the tip itself, keeping it as clear from the flesh as possible. Wipe of any surplus that remains:

Do Not Out: File,

Many girls spoil their nas by cutting them. This is a mistake, To keep one's nails at the desired length a few minutes spent in gentle filing is all that is necessary. If, by inadvertence, the nails have been allowed to grow beyond the lengthy at which they can be shortened by filing, they may be cut with specially-constructed curved nail-geissors, and afterwards filed to remove alt unevenness. After filing, the edge of the nail should be be velled,
