MR. STEWART ALLAN

"ARTHUR,

DEATH AT PEAK HOSPITAL" **AFTER SHORT ILLNESS.

It is with deep-regreb, that we record the death of Mr. Stowarb Allan Arthur, which took place at the Peik Hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning, after a very short illness.

The late Mr. Arthur, who was only forty years of age, had for some time been suffering from in- ternal trouble, and ultimate death: "was due to internal hemorrhage.

He was a most popular member of the firm of Gibb, Livingstone and Co., with whom he had held, a zes ponsible post since 1923, and was ex tromely well-known in Hong Kong business ciroles, having served as a member of the Exports Sub-Com- mittes of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce since 1923. Mr. Arthur acted as Secretary of the Poseidon Relief Fund, organis od in Hong Kong by the Navy Langua recently.
