The sensational defeat of the favourites in the Hong Kong St. Leger, followed by the subsequent disqualification of Bright Star who was first past the past, will make this event long remember- ed in this minds of race-goers who attended the eleventh extra race meeting of the Hong Kong Jockey Club-on Saturday.

Another interesting feature was the re-appearance, after a long absenges from racing in Hong Kong, of Mr. Leo Frost, who took ont six candidates and brought home four winners. In the ro- maining two races he was third on both occasions..,

Meanwhite Gold Key had improved his position, and, entering the. straight. Wonderful Stag was in. the lead with Gold Key and Bright Star about two lengths bebind: Bright Star joined Wonderful Stag at the distance post and had length to spare a hundred yards from home when Gold Key came along with a great burst of speed.

MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEAR- ENCE OF MISS KITCHELL.

The apn-appearance Miza Mary Kitchell, the eighteen-year- old, daughter of Mr. O. B. Kitchell of 3, Havon Street, after an absence of over two weeks from her home is causing much concern, and a re port that she was seen in Wanchai on Baturday, has not, so, far, lad to any light being thrown on the mystery.
