BORVERERS LOSE TO SAILORS IN SECOND DIVISION:

RECREIO AND ENGINEERS WIN,

Ten longue football matches were on the programme over the wook end, and in several of these, the standard of play was very High. In the senior division Kowloon played brilliantly to take the paints from the Navy, while the Police-Argylls, and Club- Heureio games resulted in the teams, sharing the points.

In the sepond division the holders (Borderers) were beaten by the Navy who scored four goals to their one. The Club beat University, and Argylle and Kowloon took the points from 12th Heavy Battery and RAO.C. respectively. Club de Recreio and Royal Engineers gained full points in their third division fixtures with Bordorers, and Radio Sports Club respectively.

A scrappy game, played on the Navy ground at Happy Valley re sulted in a victory for the sailors by four goals to one. The Navy opened the scaring in the first five minutes, Langend Bending in a burd drive. The soldiers levelled through Morria, but Langmead got

This game took place on the Kow loon ground and resulted in a win for the home team by tarce goals to one.
