Craigengower's chances of wresting the lawn bowls League honours from Kowloon CC were considerably lossened owing to their defent at Hunghom, although the latter aise were beaten by their neighbours. JAPANESE.
Ten innings of clever baseball were played on Saturday, when the U.S.S: Holean beat the Japanese by 1-1. The game was rather a sur- prise as the Japs are considered about the strongest loam in the loague, and it looked as though they wers woll on their way to retain the lingue championship which they walked off with last year. The Japs aro now standing toe-to-toe with the South China team for first place with the sailors next in line.

A novelty, which found good support, was singed by the Hour Kong Amateur Swimming Associa tion at the VLC on Saturday night. It took the form of a
Ladies Fete, and judging from the number of entries, the sport was
