Mr. E. R. Davey, the Goverment Analyst, was subjected to very lengthy trous-examination when the case in which the two officials of the L Hing Company are charged with six different offences under the Forgery Ordinance, in respect of alleged illegal alterations to coal certificates issued by the Government Analyst, was continued before Mr. W. The two defendants are Ho Ka Ming and Yoo Chung, the latter. being the managing director of the firm. They are, defended by Mr. FC Jenkin, instructed by Mr. F. C. E. Rondall, of Messrs. Russ & Co., while Mr. F. Somerset Fitzroy is in charge of the caso for the prosecution.
