I predict a win for the Hong Kong Baseball Club and the Japan Pse ought to beat their opponents. Of course it all depends on the breaks of the game and the side that can take advantage of the breaks has a much better, chance. If the pitching does nct improve | a lot, either side may take the game, but from what I hear, the pitchers have been put through their paces and the ball tossera promiso to show signs of improvė- ment.

All of the teams have been put. bing in some hard work on the practico grounds and the re- sults should give us some good bal. The Hong Kong Club scemo to be out for the fing this year aal are putting in the most time of any, hut, as I said before, they have to watch out for the Yankee Gobs

While the Leagus has always en couraged the inclusion of women on all delegations and commissions, this is the first time it has appeal, ed to them alone for advisory help in the solution of an international problem,

The commission which convened to day will formulate for the Sep tember, asaembly the opinion of the

1 leading women's, organizations of theworld on what they consider

as the best solution of the problem of nationality for women married to foreigners

This question has become especial ly acute since the enactment of the American laws providing that' a foreign women who marries an American no longer automatically secures American nationality.

In the case of many countries, à woman, marrying a foreigner loses her original nationality, usually on the assumption that she takes that. of her husband. In the case of English women, for examplo, mar

they become sort of international riage to an American means that

While, up till'n faw years ago, the general solution most favoured by women's organizations was that the wife should have the right either to retain her own nationality or assume that of her husband, na she might choose, even this view has changed now.

It is expected that the commis |tion which convened to-day will in- stead insist that whatever solution is adopted for the problem it will be on a basis of absolute equality as regards sex, and that there shall be no discrimination against women, It is hoped that the final decision

as taken by the September assembly in the matter may eventually be made the basis for convoking an international conference, thint will launch an international convention on the subject, thus making it a matter of codified international law.

The commission which convened to-day consists of two delegates from the following eight inter national women's organizations—i The International Council · of Women; the International Suffrage national League for Peace and Free Alliance; the Women's Inter
