During the year, it was decided to do away with the post of Assistant Superintendent and Mr. Chubb's services were dispensed with. Mr, Chubb joined the Com pany at the time of the change. over from the old steam haulage to the present electrical haulage plant. This change-over necessitat- ed a lot of extra and anxious work for the Engineer-in-charge and it was considered advisable to engage an Assistant Engineer. We wish to place on record our appreciation of
Mr. Chubb's service during the four years he was with the Com.
pany.
