"A MAN FROM WYOMING."
Gary Cooper, the lanky and handsome young man from Mon- tana, who scored henvily with audiences as "Tho Virginian" and "The Texan," heads the pro- gramme at the Central Theatre this week in "A Man From Wyoming," which serves to give additional proof that Cooper is a sterling actor no matter, where his picture tities seem to havo him coming from.

"A Man From Wyoming "is the story of a young engineer who hears the call to arms and leaves a construction job in Wyoming to get into the big fight in France. While stationed at a hot corner with his company of Engineers he meets A young society girl who, tiring of the tedium of her ambulance-driver Joli, wanders into the line in search of excitemcat.
"
Her earelessness draws the enemy's shell-fire and Cooper in forced to arrest her. Later, when his company is relieved he conducts ber, a prisoner, to the base. Al- though he treats her roughly she is impressed by his manliness: He falls for her beauty and femininity, and when they arrive in a little French village back of the lines they impetuously get married
But he is soon ordered to the front again. She returns to her ambulance unit. Later he is re ported killed after a stirring bit of action when his Engineers try to construct a pontoon bridge over a river under shell-fire. She is grief stricken by the news and takes up a life of abandon to forget her woes. It is thus he finds her later when badly wounded, he is sent to a convalescent base.
