Nice. Comdr, R. M. Hall, R.N., (retired), who had been ropuried missing, returned to his villa, after twelve days' hachee, just as the police had been asked to search for him.

He had been sketching in the French Alps. It was his custom to gopway anddenly on fliere expedi- tions, but he usually left an address ...'. to which letters could be forwarded, and stated when he would return. On this occasion, however, he had not done so.

The H.M.S. Empress of Asia ar- vived at, Yokohama yesterday, at 7 a.in. left the same afternoon "at" 3. p.m. is dus at Hong Kong on May, 27 and will leave for Manila noxt day (May 28) at 5 p.m.

The m.v. Siamese Prince from New York, sailed from Shanghai on the 20th instant and is expected to arrive here on the 22nd instant.

The P. & 0, ss. Comoria 'left Shanghai for this port on the 10th instant at midnight and is due hers on the 2nd instant at about noon.
