MR. EUGENE O'NEILL WINS ACTION.
New York, April 22,-Ons of New York's most sensational court cases | involving charges of plagiarism came to an end here to-day when Mias Georgie S. Lewis lost for suit ngainat Mr. Eugene O'Neill, play- wright and novelist, for Gold $2,000,000
Miss Lewis charged that in writ ing his play, "The Strange Inter- late," Mr O'Neill used parts of
her poem, Temple Pallas Athena."
Not only did the court dismiss Miss Lewis charges of plagiarism tit ordered that she may Mr. O'Neill's Counsel feos, amounting to G,817,500.
In literary and other circles the case attracted grent attention. Publishers, critics and other authors took the stand to testify on behalf of either Mr. O'Neill' or Misa Lewis, Verbal tilts between Counsel were of sufficient importance to fill columns of newspaper spaco.
