CHAMPIONSHIP HONOURS FOR INDIANS.

SOOKUNPOO TEAM WIN JUNIOR CRICKET SHIELD FOR THIRD TIME.

CIVIL SERVICE C.C. DEFEATS ROYAL ARTILLERY."

The Indian Recreation Club juniors played their last League fixtures of the season against Craigengower Cricket Club at Soo- kunpoo over the week-end, and by winning this fixture, they have placed themselves definitely on the top of the League table, thus winning the championship for the third time since the second divi- sion was founded. They have only suffered one defent out of their programme of ten matches-their rietors being the Civil Service Cricket Club, who, by the way, "Are their nearest rivals, Provid- dd they win their remaining fixtures, the C.8.0.0. will occupy second place in time Teague table.

The First Division fixture between Civil Service Cricket Club and Royal Artillery ended in a win for the former, while the C.CC-LR.C. match was postponed on necount of the wet state of the ground. The University seconds caused a mild sensation by taking full points from Kowloon at King's Park.

WIN FOR CIVIL SERVICE. Good Bowling By Reed.

Playing at home, Civil Service Cricket Club beat the Artillery, by

51 runs.

The home team had first knock and made 174 runs for, the loss of eight wickets (declared). F. J. de Ramo was topscorer with 54 while R. M. Wood helped with 27. For the Gunners Miller took wiekets for 88 runs.

To this total, the Ruiners could only reply with 123. Morfarlan, gel ting 33 before being bowled by Reed. Haslewood got. 10 and Lewis 18 but the rest failed badly. For C.S.C.C., Reed took 6 wickets for 34 runs.

The Annual Sports of the Cen. tral British School took place on Sturday at King's Park and a vory fine afternoon's sport was on- joyed by all who were present.

Victor Ludorum Cup, winning the 100 yards, 220 yards, 440 yards and the mile, He gained 20 points for Chocolate House which won Inter Houso Challenge Cup. Dorothy Raven carried off the 100 yards for girls and the 100 yards skipping championship and won the Victrix Ludorum Cup. Flora Elvidge was runner-up, being only ane point behind the winner.

At the conclusion of the events, the spectators gathered round the front of the K.B.8.F.P.A. Club-. house, from the verandah of which Mr. G. Franklin Nightingale (head mastor) addressed them.
