In their recent Teagua matoh, Kowloon, on their own ground, de. feated South. China, but the win- ner last week had their colours lowered by the Highlanders. The issue of the shield match is very uncertain, but in any case a great struggle will be provided by two strong sides. If they could koop themselves free of infringements in their own goal area and the for- warda maintain their alignment, the odds would appear to be alight ly in favour of South China,
The Royal Artillery had a walk- over from the Recreio, and they will be opponed by the South Wales Bordorets, who have reach- ed the semifinal by putting away the Highlanders and St. Joseph's, The Borderers will be hot favouri- tee for the honours.
In the Junior Shield semi-finals, the Navy and Eastern should qualify for the final.

CANTON, Mar, 20.
A combined teain of British and French sailors from Shamcen were again defeated by the Canton police team in an interesting foot. ball match yostorday afternoon

the ground of the Police Training School, Wai Foo Road, East.

The final score was 6-0 in favour of the Chinese,
Originally it was to have been a tusstlo between the Canton police and the H.B.M. Moorhen, but owing to the latter not being able to get enough players together for the match, it was auggested to get some men from the French gunboat Vigilante, thus making it a com- bined team. The suggestion was accepted and the game was played &s scheduled.
The foreigners put up a good, hard, clean fight, but lacked team work and kicking power. By the end of the first half, tho SCOTO stood 40 against them, but dur ing the second half they stiffened up considerably and gave the This Chinese, a lot of resistance. however, did not overcome the ad vanees of the Chinese, who had scored two more goale when time was up, thus bringing the scors up to 60 in their favour.
