BOWKER IN FORM WITH THE BALL." HAT-TRICK ".- AGAINST THE UNDERGRADUATES

CIVIL SERVICE JUNIORS ROB R.A.S.C. OF POINTS.

Three league matches were played over the week-end, all of them resulting as expected. In the senior division game between" the University and Hong Kong Cricket Club (which resulted in a draw), A. C. I. Bowker, the Interport bowler, distinguished him- wolf by taking 6 wickets for only 20 runs, during the course of which he performed the hat-trick," all three victims being clean howled.

The junior teams of those two Cluba met on the town ground, bue here, the H.K.C.C. were all over the undergraduates and won easily by over a hundred runs. This might well be detcribed as Divett's match," for, after playing au enterprising innings for 10 runs, this player weaf on to take seven, wickets for 23 runs!

** Olvil Service juniors had a bit of n shock when they were dismissed for only di fans by the I-4-8C at the latter were unable to force home this advantage and were all out for 62 runs, thus giving the Civil Servants the points.

FINE BOWLING: BY BOWKER.

The Club made the trip to Pak- fulam and were a trifle unlucky in not coming away with the points.

Taking first knock the visitors started sukily, losing four wickets

for only 25 runs, but Gwen Hughes“

(40) and Deckitt (24) then stopped the rat, nftor which Reid hit out merrily for 31 and the side even- tually totalled 182 runs. For the University, Namanbhoy bowled well to take wickets for 43 runs.

Anderson and Rodrigues opened the innings for the University, but after to Jatter had made 14 runs, he stopped in front of a straight un-from Owed Hughes and was Then given "'"' marching orders." Ride (37) helped Anderson (52) to put on 87 runs for the second wicket, but after they had failed the rest of the side failed diammily before the bowling of Bowker, who, took 8 wickets for 20 runs, perform- ing the hat trick" into the bar- £in!".
