THE GARAGE IN WINTER.

DIFFICULTIES OF KEEPING THE CAR WARM.

How I hate my garage in win- ter! It is a triflo unkept for 'one thing The ilex at the corner of the drive, after the untidy, habit of its species, sheds hitte crisp, crumpled loaves, devoid of any beauty or colour; and, as I am too ide to disembark and close the garage doors when I take the ear out, there are always flurries of Fever in all the corners. The oil drips, which still seem inevitable oven with a decent ear, do not get mopped up as they do in summer.. The bench is untidy, for when I have changed a plug or perfomed some other attention, chilled fingers. suggest a hasty retreat to a TOOM with a fire instead of putting overything back in its place,

The car itself is an eyesore contraste; } judged by summer don't eloan it as often or as thoroughly, as in warmer days, and the damp air smirches the gleam of the enamel with a film which I ay liken to the bloom on a pur ple plum, but which, noverthaleas, on a motor car is matter out of place; and matter out of place is a necurate definition of dirt. A Pious Wish!
