I have just been chatting with Miss Virginia Cherill, the "mystery star," who is Mr. Charles Chaplin's leading lady in his latest Alin, "City Lights," writes au Evening Standard correspondent. ...
Until, Mr. Chaplin "discovered?! hor in romantic circumstances, lias Cherill had never acted either on the seroon or the stage.
"I am sorry to have awakened you," I began, for it was 0.45 4.in. in Hollywood when Miss Chorill received my call.

"I do not know why I am sup- posed to be a mystery, star-my story is really a very simple one.
