The Navy were getting the ball in the majority of tight scrums, and wore lieeling cleanly.

The annouroment of the Milk Fund promoters came ne a great surprise. It indicates Schmeling's intention of ignoring the Now York State fistic moguls, who insist that Sharkey is the logical contender for a title fight.

Newport

Newport began a forward rush from their own 28; the ball was kitąd through to the Aberavon 23, with Newport follows close upon it. An Aberavon defendor kicked it, from his own 25, back over his own dead ball line," and so it was out of play. The crowd expected a serum fire yards out. Mr. Froothy

ordered a seramumage upon the Aberavon 23, that is "at the spot from whence it was kicked."

The Eelerce was Eight, Those words ara a quotation, from from Law 32 in the Welsh Union handbook, and clearly show the por- rectness of the decision. That be ing so, of course it is legal for you to kick a ball back over your own dead ball line from halfway and earn no penalty at all, for the ball will have to be scrimmaged on the halfway line. It seems to me that In scrum five yards out is a more just decision, and maybe when the Inws are reenst a year or so hence the point will not be overlooked.
