Another interesting case was ro lated by the head waiter of a famous Piccadilly restaurant.
One of his clients are he had known for years-finished a fairly elaborate dinner, and then discover ed that his total wealth was four- pence. He had not even the money with which to pay the garage fee for his motor-car, which he had left nent by.
The manager was called, and this is what he did
