ACCOUNTS FOR RECREIO BY 3 GOALS TO 1 IN

FAST GAME ON HOME GROUND.

ATHLETICS CONCEDE A VALUABLE POINT AT THE

STADIUM: CLUB GIVES GOOD SHOW.

South China continue to have things all their own way in the First Division and on Saturday accounted for the Club de Recreio by three goals to ong in a fast and thrilling game which was "watched by a large crowd. To date the longue leaders have.only

sustained a single defeat......

Chinese Athletic had hard luck in being called upon to share the points with the Club at the Stadium. The Athletic have been showing very good form this season and were fully expected to account for the Club. The latter, however, were able to hold their own on Saturday-thanks mainly to the good work of Rodgera in goal.

In Kowloon the Argylls won by two clear goals from the Police and the K.F.C. accounted for St. Joseph's by 2 goals to 1.

Before a very large attendance at the Stadium at North Point, the Club drew with the Athletics in a goalless gamé.

After the interval the Argylls had much the better of the game and added a further goal to their scores. They pressed again and again but each time found Clark à bit to good, The Police broke away on one ac- casion and forced two corners in succession but the situation nover looked dangerous for the soldiers. A few minutes before the end, the Argylls bad things practically their own way, but they failed to add to their score.

Simpson added a further goal for the home team a little later on, and it looked as if the first half would close with the score of 2-0 in "Kowloon's favour, but this was not to be, for Leonard made a,beautiful individual offort and was rewarded with a goal which had Angus guess- ing all the way,

Strenuous efforts by the visitors to equalise proved unavailing. At one time they all but scored, but their forwards were weak in Iront of the goal. Kowloon, on the other band, had their fair share of the spoils and pressed time after time towards the close of the game, but there was no furthor scoring on either side.

Playing at Happy Valley, the Argylls won comfortably by three goals to nil

The Navy, kicked off but the Argylls were the first to attack but after the sailors had cleared, play was very much up and down the field until just cloas on half-time when Alexander put the Highland- ers up by a shot through a crowd of players who were bundled to gether outside the Navy goal.

Upon resumption, the sailors made a concerted rash at the soldiers' goal but the attack was frustrated and the leather was taken over to the Navy ball when the Argylla were awarded a penalty for hands. Reid took the spot kick and put the soldiers further up and a little Inter Alexander got the third goal for the Argylls when he received a well-placed pass froni Ballantyne.
