THE AMUSING MEMORIES OF MR.

SEYMOUR HICKS.

STORIES OF EMINENT VICTORIANS.

GREAT NOVELIST'S OPINION OF YOUNG ACTRESSES.

The time is probably far distant much. Most of tatin are vulgar | when Mr. Seymour Hicks will feel young ladies, who laugh from their impolled to write a full autobio stomacha": graphy, for he is still the very per- sonification of youth, But from time to time ho lifts a corner of the curtain and gives us a tantalis ing pcep into a store of memories collected in over 40 years of public life. The account of the trial of Wilde, at which Mr. Hicks was present, is written with remarkable dramatic force, and comment is both apt and restrained.
