INTERESTING. PROGRAMME FOR TO-MORROW.

"SOME TIPS FOR PUNTERS.

[Bv ** MORNING DEW."]

The Fanling Hunt and Race Club will be holding their Christmas | feeling to-morrow and if the wea ther keeps fine there is every reason to anticipate a large crowd at. Kwanti. As I have said previously, steeplechasing is gradually getting a strong hold on the Chinese public. The popularity of the Fanling. Hunt and Race Club's fixtures has grown rapidly even during the past two or three mootings which is in no small measure due to the introduc- tion of dat racing at Kwantį,

For to-morrow's programme there will be four steeplechase events and two flat races, Of the latter ano is for ladies and post entries will be accepted.

1.

The programme opens with a steeplechase overia mile and a half, for ponica that have not won more than one steeplechase since January City Hall. belonging to Mr. Reidy, looks like the winner here; hut Mr. Reidy has a good candidate in Blue Boy. Whichever pony this, jockey selects should do very well. Mr. Stanton has Target and The Partridge and if anyone is going to upset Mr. Reidy's chances ft. will be Mr. Stanton's mount. I think he will select The Partridge to start hero.

St. Nicholas Hurdle Race.

I Miko, which is one of the best griffins of the 1030 season, starts in this ráve he will monopolise the betting, and should make the rost of the field look like eart horeca. However, Mr. Stanton may depend on Christmas Frolic in which case he can still win. One Third, who finished in front of Christmas Frolic at Happy Valley, is also entered extra and although there is an quarter of a mile to-morrow I am sure he can stick it out. Diana, if hard held at the opening stages of the race, ought to figure well.

The Shatavkok Handicap. Blue Boy and November will probably have it out in this event,

The Kwangsi Handicap. The flat race for "C" and "D" clasa ponies has attracted elevcu entries and there should be a good race. Shiny Pearl will probably again catch tho' judge's eye as the opposition not very formidable. Kirribilli, after his fins showing at Happy Valley, might prove, a big factor in the race and Discord also has to be remesabered. Diana with 9.98 170 lbs on the saddle will probably go out in some other race.

The Christmas Maidens, After his great disappointment at the last meeting, Carbine will not be such firm favourite to- morrow, but he should be watched, I think this is the event where Mr. Seiglar will be taken out and he has a fine chance of scoring his first win. The Goods will be run-1 ning under Lady Peel's colours and if you are looking for An outsider, here is your chance. On the flat, I am quite sure The Goods would have no difficulty in accounting for the rest of the field.
