The students likewise appealed to Nanking. Four delegates were sent to the capital last week to see Dr. Tai Chi Tau, President of the Examination Yuan and ex-President of Sun Yat Sen University, the Minister of Education and other important members of the National Government. The delegates are re. ported to have arrived at Nanking. but it is not yet known how they were received,

Meanwhile, Marshal Chiang Kai Shek has intervoned on behalf of the University authorities. In telegram to Canton he condemned the action of the students, and or dered all the students to attend classes

once, and authorized General Chen Ming Shu to deal with the matter as he saw fit.

Marshal Chiang Kai Shek also dispatched a lengthy circular to the students throughout China in general, and to those of Sun Yat Sen University in particular, de- ploring such agitations and strikes in educational institutions.

THREE MEN KILLED AND FIFTEEN INJURED,

CANTON, Doc. 24. On Friday at noon, a crowded tea-house, the Bin Ming, on Wai Oi Road, collapsed without warning, entrapping all the diners.

Three men were killed outright drid 15 injured, some seriously.

Of the 13 injured, two are not expected to survive.

ANOTHER BANDIT OUTRAGE NEAR CANTON,

Six passengers and three guards on board the steam-launch Kong Kong sustained serious injuries when the vessel was fired at by a robber gang near Canton on Friday

last.

Duppy, D.D.), the Rev. W. Wal ton Rogers, and Mrs., and Miss Smalley. Proceeding to the school hall, Lady Peel, in a short speech, declared the bazaar open. The op- portunity was taken by Hittle Annie Ray to present her Ladyship with i basket of chrysanthemums.
