The fol."Extra" Race Meeting of the senson will be held to-day at Happy Valley and the principal event on the ward is the Hong Kong Autumn Champions.
*
Oddly enough, the field for to-day's champions will be almost the same as that which faced the starter in the Annual Race Meeting this year. The winner on that pecasion, Diane Bay, is absent to-day, but his place is filled, by a very strong cha dinte in Nationalist . At the Annual Meeting, Apollo startedl favourite but was badly beaten. To-day,, madoubtedly, he will again be a hot favourite, and the chances of anything beating him are ivan,
Tho Subscription Griffox of this year will concentrate on the Suba. Autumn Champions. Tango and Bridge Hall will probi- ably carry all the betting here and a good race should be seen. Tonbridge and Shanghai Benu are other likely starters.
