Stranded on the teacherous Prata Shoals for nearly 48 hour, the 14 members of the Dutch schooner Hedwig arrived in Hong Kong yesterday on board H.M.. Suffolk, whose persoaned effected a noteworthy rescue,
Officers of the rescued ship, who at one time. had abandoned all hope of being saved, were full of gratituls not only to their rescuers but also to H.M.S. Stormcloud which rode in the teeth of a furious gale and tempestuous zens to establish communication with the stranded crew.
A lifeboat and raft belonging to the Hedwig, which contained a few personal belongings of the crew, had to be abandoned já. - the coral-strewn lagoon when the whaler from H.M.S. Suffolk picked up the men and conveyed them to the motor-bont.
