F
FULL LIST OF HANDICAPS AND ENTRIES.
MANY OLD STALWARTS BACK AGAIN.
The entries ansi handicaps for the Eleventh "Extra" raco meeting which will be held at Happy Valley on Saturday next, the 29th instant, are published below. It will be seen that the "Dunbar stable is strongly represented, entries including Sit- ting Bull, Elliot Bay (two ex-Champions), Hiawatha and Lobster Bay.
Boxing Eve, one of the best ponics for short distances, is also among the entries. He has been entered for the "A" class race ever the mile and should give a good account of himself.
There are exactly a dozen entries for the principal ræer of the day, The St. Andrew's Stakey, over the mile and a half. King's Colour, the winner of this season's St. Leger, is among the entries, And, if started, will have to carry top weighh (171) lbs.). His stable companion, Nationalist II., together with President Hall and Wis- dom Stag, are all due to curry 168 lbs. Sitting Bull will have to carry 163 lbs., if started, while Elliot Bay has only 158 lbs. to carry. The other entries are Chesapeake Bay, Pepperiniut, New Year's Eve, Spearmint, Four Clubs and Hiawatha. A thrilling race ahould be seen as the field is distinctly a classy "une, -
The most interesting race should be the "B" elan mile, where no fewer than twenty-five ronies have been placed, with weights ranging from 188 lbs. to 140 lbs,
Several of the contenders in the. "B" class race have won aince the resumption of racing in the autumn, and it will be in- teresting enough to see how the public support for the various can- didates will turn out. Monterey Bay and O-Moon are weighted at the top of the list with 108 lbs, and 180 lbs., respectively.
The entries and handicaps are as follows:-

The Flay.. The opening chukko started off with good polo on both sides, and shortly after the start a fine pass by Smecton to Collins saw the latter open the scoring for the 10.10 Green Howards. This was followed by some sharp play, and after a mudulo in front of the goal, Brown- rigg equalised for the Club with n beautiful 80-yard drive. A low minutes later saw Stanton put in the second goal tor the local side with 14 splendid back-hand shot. Both he and Ynetman-Biggs came in for much prontinence for good play in this chukku.
