POINTS IN BOTH DIVISIONS.

HIGH SCORING BY KOWLOONITES IN BOTH MATCHES.

WICKETS FAVOUR BATSMEN: FOUR INDIVIDUAL CENTURIES SCORED.

Chief interest in week-end cricket was eentred on the K.C.C.- H.X.C.C. match in the senior division of the leagug at King's Park while the meeting of the junior teams of those Clubs on the town ground also came in for a lot of attention Incidentally both ended in the points being divided, and, funnily enough, the K.C.C. ran

up huge totale in both matches, A feature in the junior game being a brilliant century by F. E. Skinner, who was not out for 100 runs. The only other league match was that between the Indinna and Royal Artillery (senior division) at Sóokunpoo, which, resulted in a win for the former by two wick- ets despite a century by Lieut, A. H. Musson.

A high scoring mätch (friendly) between the, Police N.C. and` Royal Corps of Signals saw two further individual centuries re- corded-the scorera being Booker (Police) and Williams (R.C.S.).

DUE TO INSTABILITY OF GOLD,

[THROUGH REUTER'S AGENOT.)

LONDON, Nov. 18. Lord D'Aberbon, speaking at s dinner of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, declared that trade de- pression and unemployment through- out the world were due not to over production, but to the instability of gold as the standard of value.

After reference to the unlike. lihood of an increased production of gold, or that the non-monetary demand for gold would fall off Lord D'Abernop, asid that, relief. must therefore be derived · from/" remedial measures in the manage=" ment of gold, Greater econoiny in its use and a more intelligent utilisation of existing reserves was necessary, Gold can be found to day in certain bank reserves if intelligent international action" is initiated.
