NEW BRAZILIAN GOVERNMENT.

RECOGNISED BY U.S.A.

(REUTER'S AMERICAN SERVICE]

WASHINGTON, Nov. 8. The United States has extended full recognition of the now Brazilian Government. The aneouncement was made with dramatic sudden neas by Mr. Stimson following prolonged conference with President Hoover at which a détailed report of the political situation in Brazil was considered.

The promptness with which the State Department acted herein is evidently designed to eradicate the memory of the diplomatic, blunder made when the United States re- fused to permit shipments of arms to the Revolutionarics.

The State Department has also shown it is keenly alive to the fact that valuable foreign, markets are

at stake in Brazit by recognising
