MANCHESTER PIONEERS' NEW SYSTEM.

FİLM BOARD'S VIEWS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

A new film censorship has been established in Manchester. By con sent of the Watch Committee the local branch of the Cinematograph Exhibitors' Association has arrang- ed to submit for police adjudication all those films which are shown to the trade and which have previously been seen by the British Board of Film Censors and by that body classified as fit either for "adults " only or as suitable for "universal usage."

The board, over which Sir Edward Shortt presides, is one appointed by the film industry, but its A and classifications have not for some time been entirely acceptable to the Manchester exhibitors, who by mutual consent are taking a re.. classification of the "grown-up" category as made by the special officers of the Chief Constable's staff, whose duties include attend- ance at the trade shows.

Origin of the Arrangement. Mr. H. D. Moorhouse, vice-chair- an of the Manchester branch of

She refused to divulge any in-arrangement, for which, on the formation and seeing a telephone she tried to walk to it. The men get hold of her and assaulted her.

They once again asked her as to who visited the hospital to see Mr. Patel and when she said sho knew nothing about it, one man pro duced a pair of pincers and nipped her arms overal times.

Finding it impossible to obtain the information they wanted, the men erased questioning Mrs. Judge who asked them to let her go home.
